Launch checklist: your first calendar fundraiser

Organizers launch a month, fundraisers each share a calendar, donors claim days, and progress stays visible until the month fills. Use this list to align your team before you open the platform.

1. Three roles (60 seconds)

Organizer launches the month and recruits fundraisers. Each fundraiser shares their calendar. Donors claim days and give. How it works.

2. Timeline

  • 3 weeks before: Draft recruiter list (network size, follow-through, availability). Decide campaign month and internal goal.
  • 2 weeks before: Personal asks to your strongest 8–12 recruits; secure verbal yeses. Draft newsletter and text snippets.
  • Launch week: Platform live, invite in waves so the calendar shows early momentum. Optional 15-minute kickoff for fundraisers.
  • During the month: Share fill-rate updates; nudge open days; celebrate partial wins—partial months still raise real money.

3. Recruiter list (quick filter)

For each possible fundraiser, ask:

  • Do they reach people outside your usual donor list?
  • Have they followed through on past commitments?
  • Are they actually available this month?

More detail: How to recruit your first cohort.

4. Comms beats

  • One email or post: what a calendar fundraiser is and why you're doing it.
  • Per-fundraiser: clear script—"I claimed Day __; can you donate $__?"
  • Mid-month: "Here's what's left" with a screenshot or link to the public view.

5. What "full calendar" means

A full 31-day calendar at face value sums to $496 per fundraiser before donor generosity. Shorter months use fewer days. The $496 breakdown.

6. Fees & transparency

Infrastructure fees and optional donor cover are plan-specific; card processing is separate (Stripe). See Pricing for current tiers.

7. Choosing the format

Compare a month calendar to catalogs, events, and open-ended donation pages—no platform names, just tradeoffs.
