SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern text messages sent by MonthFund (“MonthFund,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through the MonthFund platform at www.monthfund.com. By opting in to receive text messages from MonthFund, you agree to these SMS Terms and our Terms of Service.
1. Consent and Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number and checking the box or otherwise indicating your consent on our website or application, you agree to receive text messages from MonthFund. Consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You can opt in to MonthFund text messages through:
- Account settings: The “Text message updates” section under email preferences in your MonthFund dashboard (after signing in)
When you opt in, you will receive a confirmation message. By subscribing, you consent to receive text messages from MonthFund including donation confirmations, campaign updates, fundraiser notifications, and (if separately opted in) promotional messages about MonthFund campaigns.
2. Types of Messages
MonthFund may send the following types of text messages:
- Transactional: Donation receipts, payment confirmations, account alerts, campaign milestone notifications, and fundraiser status updates
- Promotional (opt-in required): Campaign launch announcements, fundraising tips, and MonthFund feature updates
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity and campaign participation. Transactional messages are sent as triggered by your actions (e.g., making a donation). Promotional messages are limited and will not exceed 10 messages per month.
4. Opt-Out
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from MonthFund, or by using the unsubscribe option in your account settings. You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out when you reply STOP. After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages from MonthFund unless you opt in again.

6. Costs
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. MonthFund does not charge for text messages, but your carrier’s standard messaging rates apply.
7. Supported Carriers
Messages are delivered through major U.S. carriers. Carrier support is not guaranteed, and delivery may be affected by carrier policies, network conditions, or device settings.
8. Privacy
Your phone number and related data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely to deliver MonthFund messages as described in these SMS Terms.
9. Disclaimer
MonthFund is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier network issues, device incompatibility, or other factors outside our control. Text messaging is provided on an “as-is” basis.
10. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
