Collection and payouts
Need help with collecting gifts or receiving funds?
This section is for organization collection questions. Personal fundraisers need a connected Stripe account before supporters can complete gifts.
Can I start collecting before Stripe Connect is complete?
Eligible organization workspaces may show an option to appoint MonthFund as the organization's limited payment agent. After an authorized organizer confirms that appointment, MonthFund can collect gifts on the organization's behalf while Stripe Connect is unfinished. This option is not available for personal fundraisers.
What happens to gifts collected through the interim option?
MonthFund holds those gifts until the organization completes Stripe Connect and payouts are ready. The organization still needs to connect Stripe before funds can be deposited to its bank.
Can we keep preparing and sharing while Stripe is unfinished?
Yes. You can review the campaign, invite community fundraisers, and share public links while Stripe is unfinished. To accept gifts, use either a connected Stripe account or the eligible interim collection option.
