MonthFund (“MonthFund,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website www.monthfund.com and the MonthFund application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service—including organization workspaces and personal (solo) fundraiser accounts.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a profile photo and short biography. Organization administrators provide organization name, branding, and related details. Personal account owners sign up as individuals; we associate your account with a personal workspace (including a public page URL).

Payment information. Donations and payouts are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. When you connect Stripe (including Stripe Connect Express for personal accounts), Stripe collects identity and banking information under the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Donation and campaign data. We collect information about campaigns, claimed calendar days, donation amounts, donor names (and optional photos when enabled), and fundraiser activity to operate the Service.

Optional donor photos. If you add a photo when donating, we may display it on public calendars when you opt in and the feature is enabled. You can update or remove your photo from the donor portal where available.

Communications. If you opt in to SMS or marketing email, we collect your phone number and/or email. See our SMS Terms.

Usage data. We collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps. We use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) where enabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service for organization and personal workspaces
• Process donations and platform fees through Stripe
• Send transactional messages (receipts, account notices, campaign updates)
• Send promotional emails if you have opted in
• Provide support and detect fraud or abuse (including on personal accounts)
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Stripe — payment processing and Connect onboarding
• Service providers — hosting, analytics, email, and SMS delivery under contractual protections
• Organization administrators and fundraisers — campaign participants may see donor names, amounts, and claimed days on public or admin views
• Public calendars — personal and organization fundraising pages may display supporter names and amounts consistent with product settings
• Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect rights and safety

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work if cookies are disabled.

5. SMS and Text Messaging

With consent, we send transactional SMS for account and campaign updates. Reply STOP to opt out. See our SMS Terms & Conditions.

6. Data Retention

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After deletion requests, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or financial record-keeping (including donation records).

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe we have collected such data.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact hello@monthfund.com.

10. California Residents

Third-party sites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those practices.

12. Changes to This Policy
