Why we keep a real free tier
People power drives the mission.
MonthFund exists to help people do good. A real free tier means small organizations are not locked out. A PTA with 20 parents, a youth group with 15 families, a mutual aid collective with 30 members—they should be able to run a full calendar campaign without a subscription.
Community is not a trial. There is no time limit. If your campaign fits within 50 participants and 2 active campaigns, you can stay on Community forever. The 3% infrastructure fee is how we cover our costs while keeping the door open.
When you grow—when you need unlimited participants, lower fees, or more admins—Professional and Network are there. But there is no pressure. Stay on Community as long as it works.

How it works
Many personal calendars, one campaign total
MonthFund uses an organization model where an organizer recruits community fundraisers (parents, members, players, supporters). Each fundraiser shares their own personal calendar with their network. Donors claim days and give $N. Those personal calendars combine into one campaign total.
Scaling is about adding people who each own a month—not crowding one shared 31-day grid. On Community, you can have up to 50 active participants, which means up to 50 personal calendars combining toward your goal.
Yes. Community is $0/mo to launch. There is no credit card required to start. MonthFund adds a 3% infrastructure fee at checkout that donors see and can cover in one click. If donors cover it, your organization receives 100% of their intended gift. Stripe card processing (typically 2.9% + $0.30) is separate and applies to all plans.

No. Community is available to any organization: PTAs, teams, clubs, faith groups, mutual aid collectives, cultural organizations, or informal groups. You do not need tax-exempt status to launch.
